Unique to Our School
We take pride in offering a vibrant and unique curriculum that sets our school apart. From our dedicated cooking program and hands-on science experiments to our thriving school garden, creative sewing projects, and regular visits to the local park, students enjoy a rich and engaging learning experience.
Cooking Program:
Each month, our school offers exciting cooking projects that every student gets to participate in. From measuring ingredients and grating or cutting to mixing and assembling the final dish, students are involved in every step of the cooking process. After preparing their food, they enjoy their delicious creations while learning about where their food comes from and how it's made. More than just cooking, these experiences deepen their understanding of food origins, nutrition, and kitchen science.

Science:
Our students are naturally curious, and our hands-on STEM activities and science experiments are designed to nurture that curiosity. Students regularly engage in interactive science experiments that encourage critical thinking, observation, and problem-solving skills. Whether they're mixing ingredients to observe chemical reactions, building simple machines, or exploring the natural world, each activity is designed to spark wonder and deepen their understanding of how things work.
By incorporating STEM into our daily learning, we empower our young learners to ask questions, make predictions, test ideas, and draw conclusions—all while having fun. These experiences lay the foundation for a lifelong love of science and innovation.

Gardening:
Our school is proud to have a beautiful, flourishing garden that's entirely cared for by our students- from planting and weeding to harvesting. This hands-on experience complements many of our botany and science lessons, allowing children to directly connect what they learn in the classroom to the natural world around them. As they nurture and harvest the garden, students develop a deep respect for the environment, gain a clear understanding of how plants grow, and discover where their food comes from.

Trips to the Local Park:
Our school is lucky to be located near a beautiful public park, complete with scenic walking trails and a peaceful pond that attracts a variety of local wildlife. When the sun is shining, we make the most of it with regular outings to the park. These nature walks give students a chance to connect with the outdoors, observe animals in their natural habitats, and explore science in real-life settings. Whether it's feeding the ducks with healthy bird-friendly treats or playing lively parachute games together, our park visits are a fun and enriching extension of our classroom experience.

Sewing:
Sewing teaches children an important life-long skill that fosters independence and confidence as they see their projects come to life, one stitch at a time.
Sewing is a beloved and unique part of our curriculum, thoughtfully woven into our monthly themes and classroom lessons. Through engaging, hands-on sewing activities, students strengthen fine motor skills, develop patience and focus, and express their creativity in meaningful ways.
Our special sewing teacher, Grandma Cheri, brings warmth, expertise, and a nurturing spirit to each lesson. With her guidance, students not only learn the technical aspects of sewing but also experience the joy of creating something with their own hands in a calm, supportive environment.
